Just days ahead of her debut full-length ‘Trophy’, an irresistible collection of indie pop anthems, Kate Davis tells us about five current tracks she’s enjoying RIGHT NOW:
Black Midi – Ducter
This band is wild. The music appeals to my inner muso nerd but also the faux punk. They go hard and I really wanna see them live.
Innocence Mission – The Green Bus
I first heard their 2018 album Sun On The Square and it brought me to tears. They’ve been around for a while so it was a joy to dig into the archives. Total and beautiful musical maturity.
Lowpines – We Come Right
Perhaps my newest fav artist, Lowpines is amazing because of the mood and sonic landscape he creates with his songs. Silver Halides is a beautiful emotional album that I have on constant rotation at the moment…
Ethan Gruska – On The Outside
I feel like I hear America’s great songwriters in Gruska – he respects the history and spins traditional songwriting into a contemporary, refined, and blissful listening experience. I’m here for it.
Andy Shauf – Things I Do
I have been a fan of Shauf since he released his masterpiece, the party. I think he’s one of the most brilliant songwriters of our time. Anxiously waiting the rest of his new album. He might be one of my favorite artists alive right now.
